The Senior Advisor, Gender Equality will provide technical leadership on gender equality in specific areas such as (a) promoting comprehensive programmatic action for adolescent girls’ rights in line with the GAP targets; (b) helping to establish UNICEF as a recognized leader and partner in adolescent girls’ programming, advocacy and innovations; (c) building a network of adolescent girl experts within UNICEF’s staff and networks for high impact programming; (d) building a robust evidence base, including dynamic research agenda and series of qualitative and quantitative measures for assessing progress in UNICEF-supported programmes and beyond on adolescent girls. In addition, the Advisor will provide overarching leadership on partnership, innovations and communications – firmly positioning UNICEF as the world’s leading voice for girls in the UN system and beyond.
